During the Spring 2022 semester, our executive board took part in the SMTD EXCEL Lab EXCELerator project. After weeks of meetings with the EXCEL team and many industry specialists, we are thrilled to announce that we were awarded the maximum prize of $5000 to support our upcoming season. Our winning pitch to the competition board will use this money to commission new music for the season, and to run the 2023 Touch of Blue Vocal Jazz Competition next Spring. We are so grateful to the Eileen Weiser EXCEL Fund for supporting us in this way, and stay tuned for more updates on the competition!
